The last few days of the Serena & Lily Friends & Family Event–it ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on 10/14/19–so today I’m highlighting some gorgeous pillows that the brand sent to me to style around our home! (Note: Use code “GUESTPREP” to take 20 percent off everything.)
As I mentioned in our master bedroom reveal, the top floor of our home is sunshiney happiness, haha. Chicago is horribly cold for half the year (sometimes more), and it can really impact a person. But I just know that the decor and overall vibe of these rooms is going to make a big difference this time around! Cheeriness for the win… and no one does cheeriness better than Serena & Lily!
Here are a few of my favorite S&L products that you’ll find my office and our master bedroom:
^ Reality. The other half of the room is quite the mess.
Office
Okay, so my office definitely isn’t done yet. It’s low on the list of priorities right now, as it’s probably the least-used room in the house since we don’t have formal childcare for Lucy yet. (She’s on a waiting list for a couple of days per week, but for now, I mostly work while I’m at the gym with her or at night after she goes to bed.) That said, I’m absolutely in love with the space and can’t wait to finish it, since I’ll be spending way more time in there once we get the daycare situation figured out!
(I’ll admit that I’m a little heartbroken about the prospect… but I know that it’ll result in our family having way more quality time together. There’s something to be said for not trying to do two important things at once. And it’ll be good for her!)
Oops. I digress, haha. Anyway, yes. That’s why the room is in need of some TLC, and why I’m still missing quite a bit of decor. (Need lamps, coffee table books and a larger rug… and I need to style the shelves.)
Here are the Serena & Lily products that are in the office:
Blue Jetty Pillow Cover: I’m so in love with these, and love how they look on the couch. They’re definitely jumbo-sized, making the couch super cozy, and you really sink into them. :)
Blake Raffia One-Drawer Nightstand: I’ve long loved the Raffia line, and I’m so happy that the nightstands work as end tables, too! Need lamps. Stay tuned, haha.
South Seas Coffee Table: YES! Carly and I both have this coffee table and we adore it. I can’t wait to get some cute coffee table books for it.
Seaview Rug: This is an indoor/outdoor rug, which is why I was so drawn to it initially. But it’s crazy soft, which is kind of rare with indoor/outdoor rugs! It’s clearly a bit too small for the room, so I do think it’ll go in the basement once the playroom is done. But I’m considering getting the same one for the office, just in a larger size!
Madrona Pom Pillow Cover: This was in the master, but I recently brought it over to the office because it fit perfectly between the oversized pillows.
X-Base Stools: I thought these were going to go at the end of our bed, but I’m currently using them to block out the safety rail in front of the windows, and I like ’em there! We’ll see, though. I love moving stuff around because it makes spaces feel new and fresh… so I have a feeling that they’ll move back and forth quite a bit. ;)

Master bedroom
You can see the whole master bedroom reveal post here, but to highlight some new products and rehash my faves:
Gray Leighton Pillow Cover: Isn’t this beautiful?! Reminds me of Nantucket. That gray is perfect.
Seascape Pillow Cover: I love switching up accent pillows. :) This one is longer than the pom pillow, so I think it works better!
Oakview Pillow Cover: Sigh. The detailing!
Striped “Acadia” Wallpaper: This is in our hallway, which you can see here. It does a great job delineating the rooms.
Floral “Fairfax” Wallpaper: I wanted one room in the house that made a statement, and the Fairfax paper did just that. So happy with the choice!
Embroidered “Westport” Seersucker Duvet Cover + Embroidered “Westport” Seersucker Euro Shams: It’s unbelievably soft and I can’t wait to crawl into bed every night because of it. (And because I’m a sleep-deprived mom of an infant. ;) I’m actually considering getting this for Lucy’s room, too, since I think it would really complement her pink striped wallpaper. I know it’s kind of weird to have the same duvet in both rooms, but I feel like you don’t see it as much in ours because of the Fairfax quilt and pillows. I’m crazy.
Scalloped Plaid Sheet Set: The scalloped edge is everything!
Floral “Fairfax” Quilt + Floral “Fairfax” Shams: Matchy-matchy.
Large Basket: We’ve had this for a while; I think it’s made an appearance in every room so far. It’s incredibly versatile and holds a ton!
Harbour Cane Bed: OUR FIRST KING-SIZED BED! Never going back. It’s great, and I can’t get enough of cane right now.
